Clock
A countdown widget for your desktop
Count down to any date and time, in numbers or in dots, on a board you keep open in your browser. It follows you to every computer you sign in on.
This one lives in this tab. The one on your board stays put, on every computer. Join the list
Where the countdown lives: on your board
On DashSuey the countdown sits on one page with the clock, the date and the rest of what you check each morning, and that page is the same on your work laptop and your computer at home.

Count Down
Moon Phase
Every tile here is live, worked out in your browser. On a real board you drag them where you want and resize them from the corner.
Numbers or dots
The same widget has two faces. Switch between them in its settings at any time.
Days, then hours, minutes and seconds if you want them, each one a switch. In the last day it changes to hours and minutes, then to minutes and seconds. When the moment comes it says Completed!
Count Down
The whole span from a start date to the target, one dot per week, month or year. Dots behind you fill in and the current one is outlined, so you see how far along you are without reading a number. Months need a span of five months or more, years five years or more.
What to count down to
Dates that come round every year, worked out for you, and the ones only you know. Pick one and the maker at the top fills in.

Questions people ask about countdown widgets
How do I put a countdown on my computer screen?
Add Count Down to your DashSuey board, give it a date, and keep the board open in a browser tab. Set the board as your browser's home page and the countdown is there each time the browser opens. There is nothing to install.
DashSuey is invite only for now. Join the waiting list and we will email you when there is room.
Is there a countdown widget for Windows and Mac?
Count Down runs in the browser, so it works the same on Windows, on a Mac and on a Chromebook. Sign in on another computer and the same board, with the same countdown, is there.
How do I set a countdown to a specific date?
Open the widget's settings and pick the target date, and a time if it matters. The countdown starts straight away. Give it a name and the tile says what it is counting down to.
Can a countdown show hours, minutes and seconds?
Yes. Days come first, and hours, minutes and seconds are each a switch. In the last day the widget changes to hours and minutes, then to minutes and seconds.
What happens when the countdown ends?
The tile shows its name and Completed!, and stays that way until you give it a new date.
What is dots mode?
Dots mode draws the span from a start date to the target as a grid, one dot per week, month or year. The dots behind you are filled in and the current one is outlined. Months need a span of at least five months, and years at least five years.
Will my countdown be on my other computers?
Yes. Your board and the settings of every widget on it are saved to your account, so the countdown is there on any computer you sign in on.
Can I have more than one countdown?
Yes. Add Count Down once for each date and size each one on its own. The Free plan holds up to 10 widgets in all, and Pro has no cap.
Why not use the countdown widget built into Windows 11?
Windows 11's Clock app has a countdown widget of its own, on the Windows widget board. DashSuey's lives in the browser instead, so it is the same on a Mac, a work laptop and a home PC, and it shares one page with the other things you check each morning.
