An online clock that follows you to every computer

A clock for your board: digital or analog, with seconds, in 12 or 24 hour time, set to your own time zone or another. The same clock is there on every computer you sign in on.

Clock face
The real widget, reading your computer's clock. In the app you can search for any city; this page offers a few. What you pick here stays in this tab; on your board it is saved to your account.

On your board, next to the rest of your day

A clock beside today's date, a world clock and a countdown to Friday evening. The board is saved to your account, so it looks the same on the work laptop and the computer at home.

What you can set

Format
12 hour with AM or PM, 24 hour, Military (four digits, like 1507) or Analog.
Clock face
For Analog: Minimal, with four marks and heavy hands that read from across the room, or Detailed, with numerals and a mark every minute.
Seconds
On by default. In 12 and 24 hour they tick in the numbers; on the analog face, as a second hand. Military shows hours and minutes only.
Time zone
Your computer's own, or search for a city. The clock does not print the place, so put a second clock where you will know which is which.
Size
The digits grow with the tile. Make it as big as you like.
Where it lives
On your board, saved to your account, and the same on every computer you sign in on.

Where the time comes from

The Clock shows your computer's own clock, which most computers keep in step with internet time by themselves. There is no separate time server, so if your computer is off by a minute, the Clock is off by the same minute.

It pauses while the tab is hidden, so it does no work nobody can see, and reads the time again the moment you come back.

What it does not do

  • It has no alarm, timer or stopwatch. For an alert at a set time, add Reminders beside it.
  • It has no full-screen button. Make the tile bigger instead.
  • It doesn't show the date. The Date widget sits beside it.
  • It doesn't print a city name on the face.

Questions people ask

What is an online clock?

A clock that runs in your web browser instead of on a wall or in the corner of your screen. DashSuey's is a widget on your board: large digits or a clock face, kept open in a tab.

How do I put a clock on my desktop?

Open your DashSuey board in a browser tab, or on a second monitor, and the Clock is there. DashSuey is a web page you sign into, so there's nothing to install and no extension. Make the tile as big as you like.

Can it show seconds?

Yes, and a new Clock shows them. One switch hides them. Seconds show in 12 hour, 24 hour and on the analog face as a second hand; Military shows hours and minutes only.

Is the clock accurate?

It shows your computer's own clock, which most computers keep in step with internet time by themselves. There is no separate time server, so if your computer's clock is off, the Clock is off by the same amount.

What is the difference between the analog and digital clock?

The digital formats show the time in numbers: 12 hour with AM or PM, 24 hour, or Military's four digits. Analog is a clock face with hands, either Minimal or Detailed. All four are one setting.

Can I set it to another time zone?

Yes. Search by city in the Clock's settings. Left on Local, it follows whatever zone the computer is set to. Put a second Clock beside it for another place; the Clock doesn't print the city's name, so place it where you'll know it.

Will my settings be there on my other computer?

Yes. The format, face, seconds and time zone are saved to your DashSuey account with the rest of your board, so the same Clock is there on every computer you sign in on. A Clock left on Local shows the zone of whichever computer you're on.

Does it keep going if I leave the tab open?

Yes. It pauses while the tab is hidden and reads the time again the moment you come back, so it is right when you look.

Can it go full screen?

It has no full-screen button of its own. Resize the tile to make it as big as you want; the digits grow with it.

Does it have an alarm?

No. For an alert at a set time, add the Reminders widget beside it: it notifies you in the browser while your board is open.

Can it show 24-hour or military time?

Yes. 24 hour shows 15:07, and Military shows 1507, four digits with no colon.

Put it on your own board. It saves to your account.
