Daily Prompt
A daily drawing or writing prompt on your start page
One prompt a day, for drawing or for writing, the same one everyone sees. It sits on your DashSuey board next to the rest of your day, on every computer you sign in on.
- Needs
- Nothing. Pick drawing or writing.
- Changes
- Once a day, at midnight UTC
- Keeps
- No streak and no score
On your board, next to the rest of your day
Today's prompt beside the year in dots, a clock and a sticky note for the idea it gave you. The board is saved to your account, so it looks the same on every computer you sign in on.

Every tile here is live in your browser: two Daily Prompt widgets, one for drawing and one for writing.
What you can set
- Drawing or writing
- Buttons on the card switch between the two; the choice is saved with your board. For both at once, add a second Daily Prompt widget.
- Shuffle
- A button for another prompt, just for you and not saved. Turn it off in the settings if you want the day's prompt only.
- The same for everyone
- The date picks the prompt, so everyone who shows drawing prompts sees the same one today.
- When it changes
- At midnight UTC, on its own, with nothing to reload.
- Where it lives
- On your board, saved to your account, and the same on every computer you sign in on.
Where the prompts come from
A hand-picked list in DashSuey itself, one for drawing and one for writing. The date picks today's, so nothing is fetched and nothing is sent anywhere.
It's a set list, so prompts come back after a few weeks. There's no streak to keep and nothing to lose if you skip a day.
What it does not do
- It doesn't show yesterday's prompt or a history.
- It keeps no streak, score or gallery.
- It doesn't write prompts with AI; they're a written list.
Questions people ask
What is a drawing prompt?
A short idea to draw, so you skip the part where you decide what to draw. The Daily Prompt widget gives you one a day, for drawing or for writing.
Is today's prompt the same for everyone?
Yes. The date picks the prompt, so everyone who shows drawing prompts sees the same one today, and everyone who shows writing prompts sees the same writing prompt.
When does the prompt change?
At midnight UTC. The line under the widget at the top of this page gives that time where you are. The new prompt appears on its own; there is nothing to reload.
Can I get a different prompt?
Yes. Press the shuffle button for another. The shuffle is just for you and isn't saved; reload and today's prompt is back. You can turn the button off in the widget's settings.
Do the prompts repeat?
Yes. It's a hand-picked set, so each prompt comes back after a few weeks.
Can I see yesterday's prompt?
No. The widget shows today's prompt only. Nothing is lost if you skip a day: there's no streak to break.
Can I switch between drawing and writing?
Yes. Press Drawing or Writing on the card, or pick it in the widget's settings. The choice is saved with your board. For both at once, add a second Daily Prompt widget.
What shall we draw today?
Today's drawing prompt is in the widget at the top of this page, worked out in your browser. On your board it's the same prompt, next to the rest of your day.
