Sticky Note
A sticky note widget that follows you to every computer
Type straight onto the note and it saves itself. It sits on your DashSuey board, next to the rest of your widgets, and it's there on any computer where you sign in.
- Needs
- Nothing. Start typing.
- Saves
- A moment after you stop typing, to your account
- Shows
- On every computer you sign in on
On your board, next to the rest of your day
Two notes beside a clock, today's date and a countdown to Friday evening. The board is saved to your account, so the notes are there on the work laptop and the computer at home.

Sticky Note
Every tile here is live. Type on either note; on this page it keeps what you write in this browser only.
What you can do
- Type
- Straight onto the note. There is no save button: it saves a moment after you stop, and again when you click away.
- Color
- Gold, pink, violet, cyan, green or blue, from the dots in the corner. The paper stays light with dark writing, even on the dark themes.
- Room
- A long note fits: the text gets smaller as the note fills up, before it starts to scroll.
- More notes
- One note per widget. Add another Sticky Note for another note, in another color.
- Where it lives
- On your board, saved to your account. It is there on every computer you sign in on; a board already open elsewhere shows the new text when it reloads.
Where the note is kept
With your board, on your account. That's how it follows you from a work laptop to a home computer, on a Mac or a PC, in any browser, with nothing to install. Clearing your browser doesn't take it with it.
It lives on your board in a browser tab. It can't sit on the desktop itself or float above your other windows. Make your board the browser's start page, or keep it in a pinned tab, and the note is one click away.
What it does not do
- It's plain text with line breaks: no formatting, checklists or pictures. For a list to tick off, use the Todo List.
- It has no alarm. For an alert at a set time, use Reminders.
- It can't be shared with someone else. It's yours.
- Removing the widget deletes its note straight away.
Questions people ask
Is there an online version of sticky notes?
Yes. The Sticky Note widget is a note on your DashSuey board, which is a web page you open in any browser. You can try one at the top of this page without an account; that one stays in this browser.
Will my note be on my other computer?
Yes. The note is saved with your board on your account, and your board follows you to every computer you sign in on. If the board is already open on another computer, reload it to see the latest text.
Does it save automatically?
Yes. It saves a moment after you stop typing, and again when you click away. There's no save button.
How do I open a sticky note in the browser?
Open your DashSuey board, choose Add a widget, and pick Sticky Note from the Personal group. Then type straight onto it.
Does it work on a Mac?
Yes. DashSuey runs in the browser, so the note works the same on a Mac, a Windows PC or a work laptop, and it's the same note on all of them.
Can I change the color?
Yes. Pick one of the dots in the corner of the note: gold, pink, violet, cyan, green or blue. They show when you hover over the note or type in it, and all the time on a touch screen.
How much can one note hold?
A long note: the text shrinks to fit the card before it starts to scroll. For more notes, add more Sticky Note widgets.
Can I keep it on top of my other windows?
No. The note lives on your board, in a browser tab. Make the board your browser's start page, or keep it in a pinned tab, so the note is one click away.
Do I need to install anything?
No. DashSuey is a web page you sign into. It isn't a browser extension, and there's no mobile app.
Can I add a checklist or format the text?
No. A sticky note is plain text, with line breaks. For a list you can tick off, add the Todo List widget beside it.
