- Nothing. Pick an engine.

- Nothing you type
On your board, next to the rest of your day
A search box at the top of a board, above a clock, the date and the weather, so the page you open first is the one you search from. The board is saved to your account, so it looks the same on every computer you sign in on.

Year Dots
Every tile here is live in your browser. The search box really searches, in a new tab.
What it does
- Engine
- Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Brave, Ecosia, Startpage, Yahoo or Yandex, picked in the widget's settings. The box takes on that engine's look.
- Results
- Press enter and the engine's own results page opens in a new tab, so your board stays open.
- Your search
- Goes from your browser straight to the engine. DashSuey never receives it, and nothing is saved.
- More than one
- One engine per widget. Add a second Search widget for a second engine.
- Where it lives
- On your board, saved to your account, and the same on every computer you sign in on.
Where your search goes
Straight from your browser to the engine you picked, as if you had typed it on the engine's own page. DashSuey never sees it and keeps nothing. What happens next is up to that engine and its own privacy policy.
It doesn't change your browser's default search engine. It only sets what this one box searches.
What it does not do
- It searches one engine per widget, not several at once.
- It shows no suggestions as you type, and has no voice or image search.
- It can't sit on your desktop, taskbar or phone home screen. It lives on your board.
Questions people ask
Which search engines can I use?
Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Brave, Ecosia, Startpage, Yahoo or Yandex. Pick one in the widget's settings and the box changes to match.
Does DashSuey see what I search for?
No. Your search goes from your browser straight to the engine you picked. DashSuey never receives it and nothing is saved. What the engine does with it is covered by that engine's own privacy policy.
Where do the results open?
In a new tab, on the engine's own results page, so your board stays open.
Can it search several engines at once?
No. Each Search widget uses one engine. For two, add a second Search widget and pick another engine for it.
Does it change my browser's default search engine?
No. It only sets what that one box on your board searches. Your browser's address bar keeps its own setting.
How do I customize my homepage?
On a DashSuey board you add widgets, drag them where you want and resize them, and the layout is saved to your account. The Search widget is one of them.
Can I put it on my desktop or taskbar?
No. It lives on your DashSuey board, which is a web page in your browser. There's nothing to install.
Is there a version for my phone's home screen?
No. DashSuey has no mobile app, so it can't sit on a phone's home screen.
Does it show suggestions as I type?
No. It's a plain box: type, press enter, and the engine does the rest.
